MORAINE, Ohio (AP) -- About 1,200 workers at General Motors' sport utility plant in the Dayton suburb of Moraine will be back on the job Monday.
The workers were laid off the second week of March because of the strike against Detroit-based American Axle and Manufacturing, a supplier to the plant.
GM spokeswoman Jessica Peck said Wednesday that the plant has enough parts available to employ the first shift. Peck says about 1,000 workers on the second shift will remain on layoff.
The plant's workers build the GMC Envoy, Chevrolet Trailblazer, Saab 9-7X and Isuzu Ascender.
About 3,600 American Axle workers have been on strike for 11 weeks in a bitter dispute over the company's demand to cut wages and benefits to match those paid buy U.S. competitors.
