WEST CHESTER, Ohio (AP) -- AK Steel Holding Corp. said Thursday that it will add a $905 per ton surcharge to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in August.

AK Steel said its surcharges are based on reported prices for raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products, with the June purchase cost used to determine the August surcharges.

AK Steel shares fell 15 cents to $56.56 in early trading.
